China Sunergy (NasdaqGS: CSUND) manufactures and delivers high performance solar cell and module products to the industry with headquarter and manufacturing plants in China. 

 

As one of the earliest solar cell manufacturers in China, we commenced operations in August 2004 and were publicly listed on the NASDAQ exchange in 2007. Known for our leading-edge technology in the photo-voltaic (PV) industry, we have grown rapidly in the past few years. We shifted our role to a module manufacturer in November 2010 through the acquisition of two module factories. This acquisition facilitates our strategy of expanding into downstream solar power business. As of December 2010, China Sunergy had an annual cell capacity 400MW and module capacity of 480MW. Our production capacity is expected to increase to around 750MW solar cells and 1.2GW solar modules in 2011.

 

China Sunergy’s R&D team is led by Dr. Zhao Jianhua, one of the most famous PV scientists in the world. Zhao has held the world record for highest silicon cell (mono) conversion efficiency for 22 years. Our R&D efforts focus on continually enhancing the conversion efficiency of our commercial products. We are the first PV solar company that has successfully applied selective emitter technology to industrialized production. In 2011, we will continue our dedication to develop high efficiency solar cells and best-quality solar modules to the world.
